Rebecca Salomonsson is a playwright, novelist, and occasional poet living outside of Denver, CO. She is also a teacher at Two Roads Charter School in Arvada, sharing her passions for writing, Shakespeare, and drama with middle and high school students. Rebecca has a BA in Theatre Arts from the University of Massachusetts/ Boston and a certificate in performance from the National Shakespeare Conservatory.
Rebecca's published plays, Outrageous Fortune (Pioneer Drama) and Where the Wild Thyme Blows (Next Stage Press) have been produced in several states, including Colorado, Nevada, Kansas, California, Oregon, and Indiana, and Outrageous Fortune - the play Rebecca wistfully refers to as her love letter to Shakespeare - has made it to Canada once or twice.
While historical fiction and Shakespeare are her most prominent passions, Rebecca is working on several current projects, including a contemporary play and a suspense novel.
When not working, Rebecca can be found spending time with her husband and two daughters and their mini-Schnauzer, Phoebe.
